When I studied in London, I was obsessed with Fruits by Shoichi Aoki. Now Ive discovered the second book, Fresh Fruits, to devour as well, which follows the intensely bright (almost blindingly so) wardrobes of the most fashionable crowd in Tokyo. Aoki, a renowned photographer, gives us an opportunity to see a side of Tokyo that has only recently been popularized by celebs such as Gwen Stefani. Drink it in- it's not just for fashion lovers!

Check it out here.

These aren't even the only hot dogs in the world that are covered in mashed potatoes and veggies! I was watching Anthony Bourdain and thought it was pretty cool that Swedish hot dogs (Tunnbröd rulleor?) are wrapped in a special flat bread, slathered in mash and crab salad, and shredded veggies, too. Wow.

The other place that I now of that has mashed potato covered dogs is Brazil. Any others that you know of, and would you dare try one?

The Italian fashion house Gianfranco Ferre will be moving into the world of architectural design to create the coolest tower in Dubai: it's awesomely shiny and has quite the sexy rooftop. Michaela Piva, the CEO of Gianfranco Ferre, stated that "The city today represents the essence of the new Middle East, attracting world-wide innovative real estate projects which create the buzz and the beat. The synergy between the construction sector and Dubai's rightful claim to being an unchallenged international business hub makes it an important country for the international expansion for the Gianfranco Ferré business." GORGEOUS.

Yeah, I'm a little bit obsessed with these houses, which were constructed as low-income housing that's breaking through the mold on more than one level. They're bright, innovative, cheerful, and fabulously green to boot, which makes me want to build my own mini-pod on my property to overlook the pond. What an amazing place to live, and a groundbreaking new style of affordable housing.

Odly enough, this place reminds me of The Barbican.

The Obvio! is a low emission (almost zero emission, to be exact) car that runs on biofuel and also happens to be available in a very tantalizing color scheme. If you're going to zip along in a car that's helping to conserve, you might as well embrace that quirky green flair that we're seeing everywhere. Does it remind anyone else of a little VW Bug? I hope tp be seeing much more from Obvio and ZAP! (Zero Air Pollution) in the future. Things are looking very exciting.

The website is here. Are you craving this little car as much as I am?!

It's a fashion bonanza today at Cool Picking. This time we're focusing on these awesome, reinvented dog tags from Brazil that I sourced over at Coolpicking.com- very cool indeed! Designer Isabela Capeto used old signs that she found on houses in business mecca Sao Paulo. I particularly like the "Paz" (peace) and "Ame" (love) versions. A conversation starter if there ever was one.

Check Isabela's site out here.
